Well I am nominating my mom! Cause of course she is the best mom there is (in my opinion). I think she deserves to win this purse because right not her current purse isn't the prettiest. First of all, She only has one and I think she got that one at a garage sale about 10 years ago. It is black leather but it looks like the type of purse that someone in their 70s or 80s would have and she is no where near that. She doesn't treat herself nearly enough and works too hard. This would be a great suprise for her. Please enter my name/my mom in the giveaway. Thank you so much!

I'll nominate my sister. Although she is younger than me, she is such a great example to me. I always look to her for advice on how to parent my own children. My sister has two little boys and works as a part-time nurse. She has a pretty crazy life because her husband is a pilot and is gone quite a bit. However, whenever I go over to her house, she is so calm and serene and loving with her children. She is the best mother that I know and deserves something nice like this for Mother's Day!

I'm going to tell you why I think my mom is the Best. She is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet. She never thinks about herself. I have never known a more thoughtful person. She has taught me that when times get hard and your facing trials in your life the best thing to do is to serve others. I would love my mom to win this wonderful purse. I would love to give back to her the way she is always giving back to others. So, I nominate my mom you will never find a more deserving person.

I'm nominating my best friend who happens to be my mom as well. She's an awesome lady who deserves to win this purse because she has never had time for herself. How can she when she has 8 (yes, you read right... eight) children!! She's such an angel and always has good thoughts for all of us. She keeps our family together no matter how hard it is with so many people to take care of! And she rarely complains. She's always happy and cheerful. She has taken care and is still taking care of all 8 of us! I believe she has brought us up all really well. So well, that she doesn't have time to have tea with friends and her shopping companions are her own kids. She totally deserves this purse cos the current one she has is out-dated and not in fashion. I don't know how long she has had that bag. Thank you so much!! (If I don't win, I will buy her a purse anyway. But this would be such a cool gift!) Thanks again.

I'd like to nominate my mom because she never buys anything nice for herself. She spends all her money on other people. Her and my dad are always busy serving others, including her children. Every time I talk to her, she is headed to provide service to someone else. She has a beauty salon in her basement and has ladies that have come to her for years. She charges such little to do their hair and makes it possible for ladies to get their hair done, when they otherwise wouldn't be able to. Since many of her ladies are old, many of them have passed away. She also goes to the funeral home when they have passed to do their hair. I have never understood how she does this, but she says it's such a spiritual experience. She is always so shy about the service she provides and usually prefers to do it anonymously, if possible.

I want to nominate one of my best friends, Chantelle. She just gave birth to her fourth (all natural) which makes her with four under 5!! She's such an amazing mom and is completely giving of her self at all times. She hardly ever gets to do anything for her self- most days not even a shower... :) But she loves loves loves those days when she can get all dressed up and go out with her wonderful husband. I would love for her to win this purse, because I think it would totally make her day and let her know that not only is she an outstanding mom... but a hottie with a bag to match! :) I know it would bring a complete smile to her face and would give her a reason to celebrate out on the town. Thanks!! :)

I want to nominate my mom because she is one of the most selfless people I've ever met. She's worked 2-3 jobs most of her life to support her 7 kids. Now that I have kids of my own, I wish she could spend more time with us. But she's working to help support my youngest brother with his dreams of becoming a ski racer and helping to pay the bills. She never buys anything for herself, never takes a vacation, but is always giving of what little time she has to help her kids and grandkids. I'd love for her to win this purse so she can finally have something nice for herself, and to thank her for all that she's done, and continues to do for me! Thank you!

I would like to nominate my Mother. When I was 7 years old (and I am the oldest of four), my parents divorced. She was left with no money and 4 children (ages 7,5,2,6months) to raise. My Mother didn't have a college degree, just a general ed degree. My Mom worked during the day from home to be able to take care of the two youngest and provide for our family. She went to school at night, and a couple years later got her Paralegal Degree.

My Mother has never bought nice things for herself, because she has always been too busy taking care of her children. She has never complained about how hard her life is. Instead, she now works as a Paralegal in a law firm specializing in Family Law, and helps those who are in the same position she has been in. My Mother tries to keep families together as much as possible, but when all else fails she helps them to get through this terrible time with hope for a brighter tomorrow.

I nominate my Mom, Cindy.

Thank you,

Natalie

I usually shy away from nominating my mom for things. She doesn't like any sort of spotlight. However, for some reason I liked your contest and thought I'd share how special she is to me.

My mother thought she was done having children. But, in her early 40s she was surprised to learn she was expecting child number six. Her next youngest child was already 11. Not only did this child come unexpectedly, but he was born with Down's Syndrome. It was difficult for her to hear some comments the first few years. One of her "specialist" who treated her son asked her once if she had known he had Down's if she would have aborted him. How could one do that? Certainly not this mother with the biggest heart.

Not only did he suffer from being handicapped, he has later been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, Hyperactivity and several other health issues. Not once was she tempted to put him in an institution as they so commonly did in that time.

Since then, my mother and father have raised him and have severely altered what normal now grandparents lifestyles they lead. They never go out alone. They always have him with them. They will never be empty nesters.

In the midst of trying to rear this child she also suffered from some skin cancer on her face. She underwent surgery and has been able to fight the cancer successfully... all without asking for one bit of help from anyone else.

By always serving her son, she never buys anything or splurges on herself. She is always giving to others and never thinking of her needs.

I can remember in college she would clean churches for extra spending cash and promptly put in in my hand for me to use when I was in a pinch.

I know there are several other moms out there who deserve a lot as well. I would appreciate it if you would consider my mom with them... if not at the top of the list.

Thanks!
Lisa

I am nominating my sister, Jaime. She's awesome and totally deserving of a stellar handbag. She has three adorable kids and she is such an amazing mom to them. Even my kids think spending the day with their Aunt Jaime is as good as a trip to Disneyland! She is a total inspiration to me and I'm pretty sure she must have 8 arms because she gets so many things accomplished each day (don't worry, though, one handbag is plenty-- she doesn't need one for all 8 arms!).

Her birthday was just a couple days after Mother's Day this year and her husband was out of town on a business trip for both events- bummer! She would LOVE a new bag and she is the most deserving person I can think of to have it.

Well I am going to nominate my mom! (Original huh?) haha! I think my mom deserves this because she really is the best! She is always there when I need here and will come and see me on the drop of a dime even though we live about 30 minutes apart. She would be so excited to win a bag from a contest that she didnt even know she was entered in! haha And also, this Tuesday she just found out she has skin cancer on her back and has to have surgery in a few weeks, you know how happy purses make you! This might just make her a little happier. . Thanks! Hopefully my mom, Becky, can win!

Thanks, Kelsey

11 years ago, my Mother, Barbara, moved to Germany for my dad's job with Boeing. For my dad, it was no big deal because he is German. But my mom didn't speak German, and wasn't in the best health to be moving overseas. But she went. Quickly she became friends to all the LDS missionaries serving in Munich, Germany. The mission president invited her to serve with the Senior sisters. Daily, my mom would serve at the mission office, take food to the missionaries, drive them places, arrange for special activities and even help get furniture for their apartments. When Christmas would come, she found out which missionaries were not getting support from famiy back home, and she would make sure their holiday was very special. Despite being homesick for her kids and grandkids, she served selflessly. Next, her service extended to the LDS ward she attended, which was full of foreign refugees. Together, my parents bought new clothes, donated computers and even paid for trips home to several of these refugees.

After 8 yrs in Germany, they moved to Australia, where my mom felt more at home, because of the English language spoken there. She took on 5 ailing woman in her LDS ward. She would visit them weekly in their homes, delivering messages of hope and love.

Moving to Moscow, Russia, after the Australia was very difficult. But again, my mom dove into serving others. One memorable event was when she helped collect fabric for an Iraqi refugee camp 20 km north of Moscow. It was something the youth in her LDS ward in moscow were doing, but she took it a step further by contacting friends and family in the states and asking them to send fabric too.

My mom has taught me that its not what you have that matters, but what you give away. She truely is an inspiration to many.

I'd like to nominate my wife. She's the wonderful mom of two boys, ages 4 and 7, and a girl, age 18 months. She manages to cope with the stress of having these young children, moving to a new house, cleaning up the old one to sell, making all the calls needed to do that, and as well, dealing with my constant on-call status at work.

In addition to all that she rock climbs with me and her friends, and is teaching the children to climb. It's our family sport that keeps us united.

I think she is one of the most wonderful moms I know, and how she keeps it all together, I have no clue - I know I couldn't do it. But then, I don't carry a purse - maybe that's the secret weapon that moms have in the unceasing battle against time and multitasking.

She looks really cute in purses of all styles and colors, and I love the twinkle in her eye when she sees a new one that catches her fancy. I'd love to see the look in her eye, that magic sparkle, if she wins this one. Thank you.
